We're Open for Business

We are a working ranch in Pagosa Springs, Colorado, with cows and horses and a brand new 9,000 square foot main house of a log cabin design, wraparound porches and breath taking views.

We have horses and cows and wildlife!

It is a family friendly ranch where you'll feel right at home from the get go. Elk Trace Ranch is nestled in the beautiful San Juan range of the Rocky Mountains with front row seats to Pagosa Peak, and backs up against the National Forest, for plenty of riding and exploring.

HUNTERS, Skiers, and all are WELCOME!

Your accomodations include a luxury room, along with a hot tub, lap pool, workout room, sauna and much more.

The food is only surpassed by the scenery.

Elk Trace is close to town although you'll feel like you're far from it. Pagosa Springs offers lots of amenities, including our namesake, the famous hot springs.

Also available: Guest Cottage. A private, "your own space" separate residence on the ranch, complete with wood burning stove, kitchenette, bed and bath.

The main floor of the tri-level Lodge has 4 bedrooms, 2 on either side of the hallway, joined by Jack & Jill bathrooms.

The Elk Room has a King size log bed and is connected to the Oak room that has a Queen size bed. Both have views of the large meadow, making them very private.

On the other side of the main level are the Bear and Wolf rooms, joined together by another Jack & Jill bathroom.

The Bear room has a Queen size log bed and the Wolf room has 2 twin electric beds with massage option.

On the ground floor is the Buffalo Suite, with 2 Queen Beds and a futon couch. There is an adjoinging living room that has another futon couch, a reclliner couch, TV, mini fridge, and microwave. The Suite has a separate entrance through the sunroom and has a beautiful view of the large meadow.
